Original acrylic painting on board.
Layers of mark making, made with a variety of mediums and tools, are built up to create depth and texture with hints of red and pink. I then applied metallic gold paint to form the surface layer on which the blossom silhouette is painted in black acrylic - some areas toned down with an additional layer of the translucent gold paint
The piece has 3cm deep edges (wood frame) which are finished in black acrylic paint. Felt pads in each corner help to protect the wall.
A small but dramatic artwork which looks beautiful when placed on a wall to catch the light.
Signed, dated and titled on the back. Initialed on the front
